On Dec. 13, there was a public hearing at the Cowlitz County Events Center in Longview. The idea was to gather comment on a Supplemental EIS regarding the proposed methanol plant slated for the Columbia River at the Port of Kalama. The Port got an earful – over 600 people were standing room only in the big event space. The vast majority were vehemently against the idea. Coast Community Radio’s Joanne Rideout was there.
